Survey Description

In August 1989, overbank sediments were collected from a section (SPB) along the Goulais River, 3 km downstream from Searchmont, northern Ontario.

The entire SPB section was sampled at regular intervals from bottom to top (~ 18 m).  Samples of varved Laurentian clay were collected in lL plastic bags.  Two bags were used to collect samples of coarser overbank material.

The study is published in Ontario Geological Survey Miscellaneous Paper MP151 (Summary of Field Work and Other Activities 1990).
