Survey Description

In July 1986, two small-scale humus surveys were carried out near Opapimiskan Lake on the Kenpat No. 1 and Musselwhite gold properties, northwestern Ontario.

Samples were collected along two lines (one on each property) at ~5 m intervals.  A 25 x 30 cm piece of humus was cut from an undisturbed part of the forest floor and the mineral matter is removed.

The data and a detailed description of the survey are published on Ontario Geological Survey Map M80801.  The data for M80801 are available digitally in OGS Miscellaneous Release Data MRD010.
