Survey Description


Approximately 288 samples were collected in the Timmins West area, between June 2000 and October 2002.  The area includes Carscallen, Denton, Bristol, Ogden and Deloro townships.  Lithogeochemical data for half of the samples are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 6093.  All of the data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Miscellaneous Release – Data 123.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of NTS 42A/5 (Dana Lake) and 42A/6 (Timmins), the Timmins West area, northern Ontario.  It is located west of Night Hawk Lake and south of the city of Timmins.
