Survey Description


Approximately 84 samples were collected in Ben Nevis and Clifford Townships, part of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, northern Ontario.  No sampling year was given.  The data were released as part of a geological compilation of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Ontario Geological Survey Miscellaneous Release – Data 155.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 32D/5 (Megusi River) in the townships of Ben Nevis and Clifford, northern Ontario.  It is bordered to the southeast by Verna Lake and is located approximately 20 km north-northwest of the town of Larder Lake.

  • Covers part of NTS 32D/5 (Megusi River) in the townships of Ben Nevis and Clifford, northern Ontario.  It is located approximately 5 km northwest of Webster Lake and Pinaws Lake and 20 km west of the Ontario-Quebec border.
