Survey Description


A lithogeochemical survey was carried out in Teck and Gauthier townships (A1-A2, A3, A4, A5), part of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, northern Ontario.  The sampling year is unknown.  The data were released as part of a geological compilation of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Ontario Geological Survey Miscellaneous Release – Data 155.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 42A/1 (Kirkland Lake) in Teck Township.  The town of Chaput Hughes, southwest of the city of Kirkland Lake, lies within the study area.

  • Covers part of NTS 32D/4 (Larder Lake) in Gauthier Township.  The town of Dobie is located in the centre of the study area.
