Survey Description
A total of 154 surface till samples were collected in the Huntsville-Penetanguishene area, central Ontario in 1990 and 1991. The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 5882.

<0.063 mm fraction by AAS after aqua regia for Au, Mo, Ag, Cu, Pb, Ni, Cr, Co; by AAS (hydride) after aqua regia for As and Sb and by ICP-OES after aqua regia for Zn.

Grain size (<2 mm fraction), carbonate (<0.076 mm fraction by Chittick)).

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 31E/6 (Huntsville), 31E/3 (Bracebridge), 31D/14 (Gravenhurst), #1D/13 (Penetanguishene and NTS 41A/16 (Christian Island) in the Huntsville-Penetanguishene area of central Ontario. It is a backwards L shaped area bounded to the west by Georgian Bay.
