Survey Description
Approximately 60 till and 85 glaciolacustrine sand/silt samples collected in Essex County, southwestern Ontario in 1988 and 1989. Data published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 5886.

Paper report; data lists on diskette (ASCII).
Quantities Analysed:
<0.037 mm fraction by AAS after total digestion (HNO3-HF) for Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn, Fe.
Geochem Maps Available:
None.
Other Analyses:
Grain size (<2 mm fraction), carbonate (<0.076 mm fraction (Chittick)), heavy mineral concentrate for point counts; clay mineralogy.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 40J/6, 40J/3, 40J/2, 40J/7, 40G/15 and 40G/10 in Essex County in southwestern Ontario. It is bounded to the south by Lake Erie, to the north by Lake St. Clair and to the west by the Detroit River.
