Survey Description
A total of 203 till samples were collected in 1986-1989 in the Shining Tree area of Ontario (NTS 41P/10, 11, 14). The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 5810.

Paper report.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction of till from 1989 by AAS for 14 elements and by ICP-AES for 9 elements; till from 1986 and 1987 by AAS for 17 elements, and by XRF for Rb and Sr.
Geochem Maps Available:
None.
Other Analyses:
Grain size (<2 mm) and carbonate by Chittick); heavy mineral concentrate for point counts; pebble lithologies.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 41P/11 (Shining Tree), 41P/14 (Sinclair Lake) and 41P/10 (Gowganda) within the provincial districts of Sudbury and Timiskaming, Ontario. It is an L-shaped area located approximately 140km north of Sudbury, Ontario.
