Survey Description
In 2008, part of the New Brunswick Lowlands area was sampled using a 10 km sampling grid. Basal till samples were collected from 115 sites. If a previously sampled site (from Tri-National and Fundy Model Forest projects) corresponded with a target grid point on the 10 km grid, a split of archived material from the previously collected sample was submitted for reanalysis in lieu of resampling the site.
In 2012, follow-up samples were collected from 17 sites in areas of elevated values in the northwestern part of the report area. An additional 5 sites were sampled in the southwestern part of the study area.
The data are published in New Brunswick Energy and Mines, Geoscience Report GR 2015-1. Data from Tri-National (2007) and Fundy Model Forest (1995, 1998) sites that were collected in the study area are included in the compilation.
