Survey Description

During the 2004 and 2006 field seasons, till samples (~5 kg from an average depth of 0.5-1 m) were collected from 97 sites in the Grand River area in northwestern New Brunswick.  To determine glacial transport distances, approximately 75 pebbles were collected at each location.  Samples were collected according to Geological Surveys Branch protocols, at a grid spacing of about 4 km.

The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Open File DP 2009-5.  The sample locations can be found on NB DNR plate MP 2009-7.

The data are also part of a compilation for NTS 21O (and parts of 21N and 22B) published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development, Open File OF 2021-2.
