Description du levé
Un levé de reconnaissance géochimique a été effectué dans le sud-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick au cours des étés 1968 et 1969. Environ 2164 échantillons de sédiments ont été recueillis dans des canaux actifs de ruisseau et des ruisselets s'écoulant des sources et des suintements. Les ruisseaux ont été échantillonnés tous les 1500 à 2000 pieds. Un espacement uniforme entre les échantillons ne peut être maintenu en raison de la répartition irrégulière des ruisseaux.

L'étendue géographique du levé est définie par les polygones suivants:

Couvre une partie de 21G (Fredericton) du SNRC au sud-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick. Il est délimité à l’ouest par la frontière du Maine (États-Unis) et du Nouveau-Brunswick. Le centre de la zone d’étude est situé à environ 65 km au nord de la baie de Fundy.
