Survey Description


During the 2008 field season, basal till samples were collected from a total of 30 sites located in NTS map sheets 21 G/09 (Hampstead), 21 G/10 (Fredericton Junction), 21 G/15  Fredericton), and 21 G/16 (Grand Lake).  Samples were collected using a reconnaissance scale 10 km sample grid (1 sample/100 km²).

The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Open File 2010-2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers the northeast quadrant of NTS 21G (Fredericton) in southwest New Brunswick.  It is bounded to the north by 46° latitude and to the east by 66° longitude.
