Survey Description


In 1988, twenty C-horizon basal till samples were collected in the vicinity of the Murray Brook deposit, northern New Brunswick.  The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Map Plate 93-333.

Data Description:

Paper map.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm fraction for Au by FA-INAA; for a suite of elements including Ag, As, Sb by aqua regia and AAS; and for Hg by CV-AAS.

Geochem Maps Available:

Data values are plotted on the map at each sample site.

The data have also been published as part of a compilation for NTS 21O, 21N and 22B in NB DNRED Open File OF 2021-2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 21O/9 (Tetagouche Lakes), in the area of the Murray Brook deposit, northern New Brunswick.  The centre of the study area is located approximately 13 km southwest of the unincorporated area of Caribou Depot.
