Survey Description


More than 430 B-horizon samples were collected in the Goose Creek area, southern New Brunswick.  No sampling year was given.  The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Map Plates 86-44 to 86-48.

Data Description:

Paper maps.

Quantities Analysed:

Au from humus and B-horizon.  As, Ag, Zn and Cu from B-horizon.  No analytical methods were given but likely <0.177 mm fraction by neutron activation –gamma spectroscopy (A. Seaman, pers. comm., 2005).

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 21H/11 (Waterford) in the area of Goose Creek, southern New Brunswick.  It is bounded to the south by the Bay of Fundy and to the east by Fundy National Park of Canada.
