Survey Description
Approximately 270 till samples were collected in the Sussex area of southern New Brunswick in 1995-1996 at a density of 1 sample per 4 km2. Seventy one samples from the area northwest of Belleisle Bay/Creek were sampled and analysed during 1995 and should be treated as a somewhat different geochemical population from the rest of the samples which were analysed later. Gross geochemical trends are not affected by this sampling and analytical artifact, but should be kept in mind when examining the data. The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File 2003-16.
Data Description:
Paper report; report also available on CD ROM (data lists and plots in Excel, PDF and GEO-Tiff format); Plates 2003-19A to E also available separately (site location map and colour contour plots).
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction of till by INAA for 24 elements and by ICP-ES for 20 elements.
Geochem Maps Available:
Colour contour plots showing dispersal of As, Sb, Cu, and Pb.
Other Analyses:
Grain size (<2 mm).
