Survey Description
In 2017 and 2018, 34 rock samples were collected in western Labrador, in the eastern portion of the Labrador Trough. The area was sampled during a multiyear project investigating the metallurgy and mineral potential of the region.
The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File LAB/1761.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers a very small part of NTS 23J/16 (Hollinger Lake; 4 samples) in western Labrador. It is located just south of the Quebec-Labrador border and approximately 40 km northeast of the town of Schefferville, QC.

Covers a very small part of NTS 23I/13 (Marion Lake; 2 samples) in western Labrador. It is located just west of the southern portion of Marion Lake and approximately 8 km west of the Quebec-Labrador border.

Covers a small part of NTS 23I/12 (Andre Lake) in western Labrador. It is located just east of Montgomery Lake and approximately 1 km north of Andre Lake. The Quebec-Labrador border is located about 3 km northeast of the study area.

Covers a very small part of NTS 23I/12 (Andre lake) in western Labrador. It is located at the southern end of Andre Lake, just west of McKenzie River.
