Survey Description
In 2018, 53 rock samples were collected in the Andre and Marion lakes area, western Labrador as part of a multi-year project exploring the regional geology and economic potential of the Labrador Trough.
The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File 023I/0103.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers part of NTS 23I/12 (Andre lake) in western Labrador. It is located just southwest of the Quebec-Labrador border and approximately 60 km southeast of the town of Schefferville, QC. Andre Lake and Snelgrove Lake are found within the study area.

Covers a very small part of NTS 23I/13 (Marion Lake; 1 sample) in western Labrador. It is located just south of the Quebec-Labrador border and approximately 1 km north of the western end of Gauthier Lake.
