Survey Description
In 2007 and 2010, 111 samples were collected in Newfoundland from sites focusing on known occurrences of uranium mineralization and include material from both outcrop and drillcore.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers small parts of NTS 1L/13 (Lamaline) and 1L/14 (St. Lawrence) on the southern part of the Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland. It is bounded to the south by Great Lawn Harbour and Little Lawn Harbour. The town of Lawn is located in the south-west part of the study area, and Highway 220 runs east-west through the study area.

Covers a small part of NTS1M/04 (Grand Bank) on the Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland. It is located approximately 1 km southeast of the coast of Fortune Bay and 1 km northwest of Crouse Pond. Highway 210 runs through the northern part of the study area.

Covers a very small part of NTS 1M/05 (Harbour Breton) on Boxey Point Promontory, Newfoundland. It is bounded to the northwest by St. John’s Bay. The study area is located approximately 9 km southwest of the town of Saint Jacques-Coomb’s Cove.

Covers parts of NTS 11O/16 (La Poile River), 11P/13 (Peter Snout) and 11P/14 (White Bear River) in southwestern Newfoundland. The southwestern part of the study area is located approximately 4 km northeast of the edge La Poile Bay. Highway 480 crosses the eastern part of the study area.

Covers a small part of NTS 11O/14 (Codroy) in southwestern Newfoundland. The study area is located approximately 19 km southeast of St. George’s Bay. It is located just south of Grand Codroy River, between the localities of Benoits Siding and South Branch.

Covers a small part of NTS 12B/09 (Harrys River) in western Newfoundland. The study area is located just east of the Trans-Canada Highway and approximately 7 km north of Highway 480. The city of Stephenville is found approximately 25 km to the west.

Covers small parts of NTS 12H/03 (Deer Lake) and 12H/04 (Pasadena), west-central Newfoundland on the southern portion of the Great Northern Peninsula. The study area is located just north and west of the town of Deer Lake.

Covers a small part of NTS 12H/06 (Cormack), west-central Newfoundland on the southern portion of the Great Northern Peninsula. The study area is located 6 km northwest of Sandy Lake and just east of the Humber River.

Covers a very small part of NTS 12H/11 (Silver Mountain), west-central Newfoundland on the southern portion of the Great Northern Peninsula. The study area is located just west of 57°W longitude and 14 km south-southwest of the locatlity of Pollard’s Point.

Covers a very small part of NTS 12H/09 (King’s Point), north-central Newfoundland, on the southern portion of the Baie Verte Peninsuala. The study area is located approximately 5 km northeast of Gull Pond, 10 km east of Highway 410 and 9 km northwest of the town of King’s Point.
