Survey Description

In 2017, 81 rock samples were collected from the eastern portion of the Labrador Trough in western Labrador.  The samples were collected in the first year of a multi-year project investigating the metallurgy and mineral potential of the region. The samples represent Montagnais Gabbro sills and associated igneous rocks, as well as sulphidebearing sedimentary rocks which the gabbro sills were intruded into.

The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File LAB/1723.
