Description du levé
En 2006 et 2008 à 2010, des échantillons de roche ont été recueillis dans la région de Makkovik, centre-est du Labrador. Les analyses sur roches totales ont été compilées à partir d'échantillons prélevés dans le cadre d'un B.Sc. (S. Kennedy), partie d'une M.Sc. (C. LaFlamme) et par la commission géologique de T.-N.-L.
Les données (y compris les données non traitées pour plusieurs échantillons de référence) sont publiées dans le rapport « Open File 013O/0139 » de Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources.

L'étendue géographique du levé est définie par les polygones suivants:

Couvre 13O/03 (Makkovik) du SNRC et une petite partie de 13O/02 (Ironbound Islands) dans la région de Makkovik, centre-est du Labrador. Il est délimité à l’ouest par Kaipokok Bay et au nord et à l’est par la mer du Labrador. La communauté de Makkovik se trouve approximativement au centre de la zone d’étude.
