Survey Description
In 2010, 46 rock samples were collected in the vicinity of the South Wood Lake (Staghorn) gold prospect, west-central Newfoundland, as part of a Bachelor’s of Science thesis (J. Hull, Memorial University).
The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File 012A/04/1563.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers part of NTS 12A/04 (King George IV Lake) in the vicinity of the South Wood Lake (Staghorn) gold prospect, western central Newfoundland. The study area is located approximately 9 km southwest from the western-most tip of Victoria Lake and approximately 75 km along Highway 480, south from where it joins the Trans-Canada Highway.
