Survey Description

In 2004, till samples were collected over part of the Central Mineral Belt, Labrador.  In total, 630 samples weighing ~1 kg were taken from hand-dug pits 30-60 cm deep.  Samples of BC- or B-horizon were collected where C- horizon material was not available.

The data are publsihed in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File 013K/0283.

Samples from this survey were reanalyzed for fluoride and the data are published in a compilation (Open File LAB/1778) with samples collected from across Labrador between 1983 and 2004.
