Survey Description
Approximately 350 till samples were collected in 1986 in the Melody Lake area, east central Labrador. The data are published in Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy Open File LAB/0860.
Samples were reanalyzed for a larger suite of elements in ~2003 and published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File LAB/1392.
Data Description:
Paper maps with margin notes.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by AAS after a HNO 3 digestion and HCl leach for 11 elements; by ICP-AES for 10 elements and for U by delayed NA.
Geochem Maps Available:
Maps 91-17 to 91-37 (computer contour) show sample locations and distribution of 20 elements.
Samples from this survey were reanalyzed for fluoride and the data are published in a compilation (Open File LAB/1778) with samples collected from across Labrador between 1983 and 2004.
