Survey Description
424 till samples were collected in the Moran Lake area, central Labrador. The data are published in Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy Open File 13K/0180.
Samples were reanalyzed for a larger suite of elements in ~2003 and published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File LAB/1392.

Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by AAS after HNO 3 digestion and HCl leach for 11 elements; by ICP techniques for 10 elements and by delayed neutron activation for U.
Geochem Maps Available:
Maps 91-40 to 91-59 (computer contour) show sample locations and distribution of 20 elements.
Other Analyses:
Pebble lithologies; grain-size.
Samples from this survey were reanalyzed for fluoride and the data are published in a compilation (Open File LAB/1778) with samples collected from across Labrador between 1983 and 2004.
