Survey Description


112 till samples (including bulk tills) were collected in the east Amisk Lake area, east central Saskatchewan in approximately 1986-1987.  The data are published in Saskatchewan Research Council Report R-842-59-E-88.

These data are also part of a compilation, Geological Survey of Canada Open File 7064.

Data Description:

Paper report; data file (Dbase).

Quantities Analysed:

<0.1 mm fraction by AAS after HNO 3-HCl for Pb, Ni, Co, Cu, Zn, Ag, As, Au, and W.

Geochem Maps Available:

None.

Other Analyses:

Grain size; pebble counts; HMC for gold grain and geochemistry.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of 63K/12 (Schist Lake) and 63L/9 (Denare Beach) in the East Amisk Lake area, Saskatchewan.  It is bounded to the east by the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.  Comeback Bay and East Channel (both parts of Amisk Lake) and Mosher Lake are found in the southwest part of the study area.
