Survey Description
In 2016 and 2017, till samples weighing 2-3 kg were collected from the C-horizon in hand dug pits or mudboils. Samples were also collected from stratigraphic sections. Additional 11.4 L till samples were collected for kimberlite indicator mineral processing.
Year | Till Samples from Pits/Mudboils+Sections | Till Samples for KIM |
2016 | 14+43 | 30 |
2017 | 62 | 34 |
Total | 119 | 64 |
In 2017, 15 till samples were also recovered from archived drill core for geochemistry and KIMs.
The data are published in Manitoba Geological Survey Data Repository Items DRI2018001 (KIM from till, 2016+2017) and DRI2018002 (geochemistry of till from drill core).
The data in DRI2018002 are also part of MGS compilation GeoFile 2-2022 which supersedes compilation open file OF2020-3.
