Survey Description


In 2005 and 2006, a total of 39 till samples were collected from hand-dug pits and natural exposures in northwestern Manitoba:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 64N (Kasmere Lake) in northwestern Manitoba.  It is bounded to the north by 60°N latitude. Kasmere Lake is in the southern portion of the study area and Putahow Lake in the northern part of the study area.

  • Covers part of NTS 64P (Nejanilini Lake) in northwestern Manitoba.  Its southwest corner is <2 km from 98° W longitude and Nejanilini Lake covers most of the study area.
