Survey Description


In 1993, 197 till samples and 156 humus samples were collected from 157 hand dug pits in the Naosap Lake area, western Manitoba.

A summary of the work can be found in Manitoba Energy and Mines Report of Activities, 1993.

The data are published in Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development, Data Repository Item DRI2020020 and are part of a compilation, open file OF2020-2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers the northwestern half of NTS 64K/14 (Naosap Lake) in western Manitoba.  Its western edge is located approximately 25 km east of the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border and its northern extent is bounded by latitude 55°N.
