The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 63F (The Pas), 63K (Cormorant Lake) and 63N (Kississing Lake), The Pas-Flin Flon area, western Manitoba. Highway 10 runs north-south through the study area and Clearwater Lake lies approximately in its geographic centre.
