Survey Description
Till and soil sampling from 100 sites, were carried out in the Petite rivière de la Baleine area, northern Quebec in 1992. The data are published in GSC Open File 2871.
Data Description: Paper report.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by INAA for 31 elements; by XRF for 12 elements, by AFS after a HCl-NaOH digestion for Hg.
Geochem Maps Available:
Series of regional element dispersal maps.
Other Analyses:
Carbonate (<0.063 mm fraction by LECO).

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers the northern parts of NTS 33N (Poste-de-la-Baleine) and 33O (Lac Montrochand), the Petite rivière de la Baleine area in northern Quebec. It is bounded to the west by Hudson Bay and its northeast corner is located approximately 25 km southwest of Lac à l'Eau Claire.
