Survey Description
Till samples were collected in northwest Nova Scotia beginning in approximately 1978. The data are published in Nova Scotia Department of Mines and Energy Open File Report 555.
Data Description:
Paper map; map margin has data tables keyed to samples located on the map.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.002 mm fraction by AAS for at least 12 elements; by colourimetry for As and by fluorometry for U. Heavy mineral concentrate (0.063-0.300 mm fraction) by colourimetry after a carbonate flux-fusion followed by hot water leach for W and by AAS after ammonium iodide sublimation followed by HCl leach for Sn.
