More than 200 till samples were collected in southwestern Nova Scotia in approximately 1979. The data are published in Nova Scotia Department of Mines and Energy Map 82-10.

<0.002 mm fraction by AAS after HNO3-HCl for at least 12 elements, by colourimetry for As and by fluorometry for U; heavy mineral concentrate (0.063-0.300 mm fraction) by colourimetry after a carbonate flux-fusion followed by hot water leach for W and by AAS after ammonium iodide sublimation followed by HCl leach for Sn.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers parts of NTS 20O (Shelburne), P (Shelburne) and parts of 21A (Annapolis Royal), B (Eastport) in southwestern Nova Scotia. It is bounded to the north by the Bay of Fundy, to the south and west by the Atlantic Ocean.
