Bondar Clegg, stream sediments; atomic absorption spectroscopy (Mo; nitrous oxide-acetylene flame) using a multi-acid total digestion

General Methodology:

Mo was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry after decomposition with a multi-acid total digestion.  A 500 mg sample was leached over a period of 4 hours using a 5 ml aliquot of HF-HCl-HNO3-HClO4 acid mixture (ratio 1:1:1:1).  A final solution of 5% HCl was made up to a volume of 20 ml.  Mo was atomized using a nitrous oxide-acetylene flame and a 1000 ppm Al solution as ionization buffer.
