Preliminary Airborne Gamma Ray Spectrometric Maps and Ground Investigations, Central Nova Scotia, by K.L. Ford, J.M. Carson and P.B. Holman

This release of preliminary results of an airborne gamma-ray spectrometer survey covering those parts of NTS sheets 11d, E, F and 21H over the mainland of Nova Scotia comprises 1:1 000 000 scale contour maps of equivalent uranium and eU/eTh ratio. Two profiles at a scale of 1:250 000 showing magnetometer, total count, K, eU, eth, eU/eTh, eU/K and eTh/K traces are included along with selected preliminary results of ground investigations including in situ gamma-ray spectrometric measurements and major and trace element chemical analysis of samples from several of the granites within the area of this survey.

This file will be available for viewing from 1300h EDT September 24, 1981 (and equivalent local times) at all Geological Survey libraries, at the Nova Scotia Department of Mines and Energy, 2 nd Floor, 1690 Hollis Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 2X1, and at the Ontario Geological Survey, Mines Library, 8 th Floor, 77 Grenville Street, Toronto, Ontario M5S 1B3.
