Airborne Gamma-Ray Spectrometry Data, NTS 64F, 64J, 64K, 64N and 64O

Reconnaissance survey data were obtained with the G.S.C. airborne gamma-ray spectrometer for an area of maps, at a scale of 1: 250 000, showing total count, potassium, equivalent uranium and equivalent thorium concentrations, and eU/eTh, eU/K and eTh/K ratios, and as profiles, also at 1: 250 000, of the seven parameters, for each of the north-south flight lines.

The project was carried out under the supervision of K.A. Richardson, with P.B. Holman responsible for the field operations, and G.W. Cameron responsible for the data compilation and map production.

These files relate to data acquired as part of the Federal-Provincial Uranium Reconnaissance Program, the provincial part being financed through the Canada-Manitoba Subsidiary Agreement on Mineral Exploration and Development.

The files will be placed on Open File for inspection from 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. 24 March 1976 (and equivalent local times) at the libraries of the Geological Suvey of Canada in Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary, and also at the office of the Chief Mining Recorder for Manitoba, 993 Century Street, Winnipeg, and the Mining Recorder’s office at The Pas.

A limited supply of white prints will be available for sale at the Manitoba Mining Records Offices at the user’s expense. The field observations and analytical data from which the material was prepared will be available in digital form and microfiche at a later date to be announced in the GSC monthly circular.
