Airborne Radioactivity Maps and Profiles
Contour maps and profiles of radioactivity data obtained with the GSC airborne gamma-ray spectrometer system, are being released for the following areas of Northern Saskatchewan: Tazin Lake (74N); Fond du Lac (74O); Stony Rapids (74P) and Phelps Lake (64M). The release comprises seven contour maps, at a scale of 1: 250 000 showing total count, uranium, thorium and potassium concentrations, and U/Th, U/K and Th/K ratios and profiles also at a scale of 1: 250 000 of the 7 radioactivity parameters for each of the 25 east-west flight lines flown at 5 kilometer line spacing. This survey was carried out under the Canada Saskatchewan Agreement on Mineral Exploration and Development in Northern Saskatchewan during the summer of 1974.
Open files 242 and 257 will be available for inspection from 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. April 1, 1975 (and equivalent local times) at the libraries of the Geological Suvey of Canada and also at: Department of Mineral Resources, 12 th Floor, Toronto Dominion Bank Building, Hamilton Street and 12 th Avenue, Regina, Sask., and Department of Mineral Resources, Precambrian Geological Survey, La Ronge, Saskatchewan.
