Project Description
A surficial mapping and till sampling program on Foxe Peninsula, SW Baffin Island was carried out in 2006. This study is part of the Southwest Baffin Integrated Geoscience Project (SWBIG) — a multidisciplinary project intended to improve the mineral exploration potential of the region. Till samples were collected for geochemistry, kimberlite indicator mineral analysis, metamorphic or magmatic massive sulphide indicator mineral (MMSIM) and heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) analyses.
