Parker Lake Joint Venture Project, eastern Nunavut, 1996-1997.

Project Description

During the summers of 1996 and 1997, till and other surficial materials were sampled in the Parker Lake area, eastern Nunavut.

The overall objective of the project was to evaluate the massive sulphide and gold potential of part of the Gibson-MacQuoid Lake greenstone belt.  The 1997 part of the program was designed to follow up and explore previously discovered diamondiferous dikes and highly anomalous diamond indicator minerals in tills.

The data are found in Nunavut Assessment Reports 083785 and 083992.
