Operation Bathurst, 1965
Project Description
Operation Bathurst was carried out during the 1965 field season in the Bathurst-Jacquet River district, New Brunswick. The project was part of a geochemical and geological study of the Bathurst base metal district. The objective was to geochemically characterize stream waters and sediments in order to assess the correlation of drainage geochemistry with bedrock geology and with known mineral deposits. The work, including maps, is published in Geological Survey of Canada Papers 65-42 and 67-45. The stream sediment data are published in GSC Open File 27.
