Southwest Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island vegetation surveys, 1990 and 1991



Project Description

Multiple vegetation species and tissues were collected in southwest Nova Scotia and on Cape Breton Island in 1991 after an orientation survey in 1990 determined the most common species.  A total of 536 sites were visited in Cape Breton and 539 sites in the southwest.  The purpose of this project was to continue to define the value of vegetation surveys to exploration.  The following table lists the specific species collected and their status:
