NGR/YGS stream sediment and water surveys, Yukon, 2004-2006
Project Description
National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) stream sediment and water surveys were carried out in the Yukon in conjunction with the Yukon Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (Yukon Geological Survey – YGS).
During the summers of 2004 and 2005, portions of the Northern Ogilvie Mountains, Keele Ranges and the Old Crow Ranges were sampled at 655 sites. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 5319/Yukon Geological Survey Open File 2006-17.
During the summer of 2005, 174 sites were sampled west of the height of land that marks the boundary between Yukon and Northwest Territories and separates the Coal River and Flat River drainage basins. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 5329/Yukon Geological Survey Open File 2006-18.
During the summer of 2006, 355 sites were sampled in the Nahoni Range area, west central Yukon. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 5695/Yukon Geological Survey Open File 2008-2.
