Bear-Slave Reanalysis Project, 1990-1992.
Project Description
The near-shore lake sediment data collected in the Bear-Slave Operation (1972) was released on Geological Survey of Canada Preliminary Maps 9-1972 to 15-1972 but was never released digitally. In 1990, the raw data (stored on tape) which was used to create these maps was released digitally as Geological Survey of Canada Open File 2239.
In 1992, new data for 42 elements was obtained by reanalysing lake sediments from 217 sites. These new data as well as the original analytical data were published in GSC Open File 2578.
