The hydrogeochemistry provide extended coverage in areas where the thickness of Quaternary deposits are important and to work around anticipated difficulties expected by the use of other techniques (difficulties related to the almost horizontal alignment of strata in the St. Lawrence Lowlands.

The goal of this inventory is to define geochemical signals that can lead to the discovery of mineral occurrences.
