Project Metadata

A soil and till sampling survey was carried out in 1994 around the Cal Graphite Mine site, Butt Township, Ontario.  The objectives of the project were: 1) to determine the natural background geochemical conditions in the area; 2) to obtain geochemical data over an undeveloped graphite deposit; and3) to determine the geochemical impact of an existing graphite mining operation.  The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 5947.
