Project Metadata

A till sampling and granular aggregate resource survey was carried out in 1983 in the Sisson Branch Reservoir area, northwest New Brunswick.  The objectives of the project were: to provide basic information on the distribution, extent, thickness and quality characteristics of granular aggregate deposits; and to produce a surficial geology map.  The report will help producers and consumers of granular aggregates to search for workable deposits and will aid land-use planners and forestry managers with efficient resource utilization.  The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Resources Open File Report 85-3.
