Northwest British Columbia till sampling survey, carried out in 1999

Project Description

An integrated surficial mapping and detailed till geochemistry survey was conducted in 1999 in the Swift River area, northwest British Columbia.  Characterization of geochemical signatures in the study area will assist in the development of future geochemical exploration projects.  The main objectives of the project were to stimulate exploration and economic activity by conducting till geochemical case studies at known prospects to better develop and refine the geochemical response of mineralization; and, to further define areas of high mineral potential through till geochemistry.  The data are published in British Columbia Geological Survey Paper 2000-1 (in Geological Fieldwork, 1999).
