Central Newfoundland till sampling surveys carried out in 1978 and 1979

Project Description

Till samples were collected in central Newfoundland in the Lake Ambrose and Noel Paul’s Brook areas in 1978 and in the Badger and Grand Falls areas in 1979.  The surveys were carried out in regions of extensive glacial drift to determine the directions of glacial transport and the effects of this transport on the interpretation of geochemical analyses within the area.  The data are published in Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy Open Files 12A/0212 (Badger; Noel Paul’s Brook) and NFLD/0093 (Badger, Grand Falls).
