The regional stream survey for Bathurst Island, N.W.T (NTS 68G, 68H, 69A, 69B ) was conducted during the summer of 1995 .

This report presents analytical and statistical data for 36 elements in stream sediments from 404 sample sites, collected at an average density of one sample per 15.5 km². Loss-on-ignition in sediments, and uranium, fluoride, and pH values in waters from these sites are included in this report.

The survey was managed by the Geological Survey of Canada, and conducted under the auspices of the Bathurst Island Mineral and Energy Resource Assessment (MERA) project.

Field Work was carried out by S.W. Adcock, C. D. Anglin, M.W. McCurdy and W.A. Spirito from a base camp on Bathurst Island established at Dundee Bight by J.C. Harrison, GSC (Calgary).

Through a leasing agreement with PCSP, Canadian Helicopters provided a 206L (Long Ranger) helicopter piloted by Jeff Serpell.

C.C. Durham provided technical assistance, and K.K. Nguyen prepared Figure 2.
