The regional lake sediment and water survey of four areas in northern Ontario (NTS 42D, 42E, 52A, 52B, 52H) was conducted during the summer of 1987.

This report presents analytical and statistical data for 47 variables in lake sediments from 367 sample sites, collected at an average density of one sample per 9.0 km². This report includes values for uranium, fluoride, pH and alkalinity in waters.

Other information:

Data for platinum and palladium in lake sediments are included in this report.

Magnesium and chromium in lake sediments by flame atomic absorption spectrometry were determined with a total decomposition of the sample (4-acid digestion) followed by analysis.
