The regional lake sediment survey for east-central Saskatchewan (NTS 63M, 64D and parts of 63K, 63L, 63N, 73I, 73O,73P,74A) was conducted during the summer of 1974.

This report presents new analytical data for mercury and uranium obtained by reanalyzing lake sediments from 3,844 sites, collected at an average density of one sample per 14.3 km². Original analytical data selected from Open File 266 (published 1975) for 12 variables in sediments are also included in this report.

Other information:

A subset of samples from NTS 064D was analyzed by fire assay-neutron activation in 1980 for gold and released in 1981 as GSC Open File 683. The remaining sediments were reanalyzed for Au in 1984. Data were released in Open File 1129, published in 1985.
